Where can jellyfish be found?
Different types of jellyfish can be found in every ocean. Typically near the coast, in most cases. Lion's Mane Jellyfish and Cyanea capillats are only found in freezing water, such as the Arctic Ocean. The Mangrove jellyfish can be found in the southern Gulf of Mexico, and other tropical waters.
How do jellyfish affect the environment?
Jellyfish intake food and dispose waste the same way. The waste then moves toward the ocean floor, providing plants and other sea creatures with nutrients. In other parts of the world, people will even eat jellyfish, and think nothing of it. However, box jellyfish are the most dangerous, and can be deadly!
